Veeam Application aware image processing

I am new to Veeam.
I am taking over a backup solution that uses Veeam.

I see 2 jobs setup, one to backup locally and the other to backup remotely of my 2012 server.

It looks like they are 2 separate jobs.
My question is, can both jobs have Application Aware Image Processing enabled?  (which I think means both jobs must use Microsoft VSS).
thanks,

Yes, just enable in the Job, and Veeam will do it stuff, and communicate with VSS and VMware Tools in the VM.

Thanks Andrew.
I am using Hyper-V so I assume the communication with VMware tools is irrelevant?

Integration (or VMware) Tools, and VSS Writers.

Veeam has to communicate with the VM!
