Sharepoint not remembering passwords

I have set up a sharepoint 2013 site with a number of lists.  Users are connecting these lists to Outlook but even though they select to save password they are getting prompts normally once or twice a day to re-enter credentials.

I have put the sharepoint site in trusted sites and also saved password but on each opening of IE it prompts for the username and password.

The users are using Outlook 2010 and IE9  - not sure if this is the problem

Thanks
Valerie.

Hi,
can you try to add the url into the local intranet sites?
Can you verify the configuration to automatically logon with current user name (IE Menu "Internet Options" -> tab "Security" -> Icon "Local Intranet" .> Button "Custom Level" -> Tree level "User Authentication" (scroll down to the end of the tree list). Check this also for the trusted sites.
What client OS are you using?
You have configured integrated Windows Authentication in SharePoint, correct? NTLM or Kerberos?

Fixed eventually by Microsoft by adding a trust between the domains and giving appropriate access - also removing all credentials for sharepoint from credential manager on each pc.
