Drupal emails not sending for password recovery

Hi all. I know pretty much nothing about Drupal, but it looks like its failing to send mails (from a forgotten password feature).

Can anyone tell me where logs would go by default or what a log file may be called on Windows (Server 2008 R2)

Id also like to see what email configuration we use. Is there a file which would hold this?

If you have the database logging module enabled in Drupal, it will log email successes and failures under Administration >> Reports >> Recent log messages.

Ultimately, this issue is likely going to be that Windows is not configured to allow PHP to send emails. I can help with the Drupal side, but I'm not sure about the Windows stuff.

I was able to trace the error back to incorrect code.
