Custom search folder

I have chosen the "custom search folder" method for keeping up with communications 'about' team members, not just to or from them.  

I'm attempting to catch all emails for which either the first or the last name apppears anywhere in the message.

Suppose that in the attached graphic, I wanted to say "either Tom or Jones" should go into a single search folder.  Would it be possible to do this?

Yes, this is possible.  When you're setting the criteria for the search folder, switch to the "Advanced" tab and enter your criteria there.  To do that

1.  Click the "Field" pulldown and select "Message" from the "All mail fields" group.
2.  Click the "Condition" pulldown and select "contains"
3.  Enter a name in the "Value" field.  
4.  Click the "Add to List" button.

Repeat these steps for each name you want to look for.  Once you have them all entered, click the "Ok" button and you should be in business.
