Why the Designer is doing this?

The designer.cs for a web control keeps changing this:

protected global::System.Web.UI.UpdatePanel upList;

(which is correct) to this:

protected global::System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts.UpdatePanel upList;

(which causes compile-time errors)

I can manually correct it ... but then later on the problem surfaces again (maybe every 20 rebuilds).

Why does this happen?  Can it be permanently fixed?

Keep in mind - it does not happen EVERY single time.

Use a register command on the asp page to override this behavior
<%@ Register TagPrefix="asp" Namespace="System.Web.UI" Assembly="System.Web"%>

You could place the system.web.dll, and system.web.design. dll in your bin folder but this introduces a security risk
