Cisco 7945 phone/CUCM 7.1 changing position of displayed items for Directory button

When you press the Directory button on our 7945G phone you can see four options - Missed Calls, Received Calls, Placed Calls and Personal Directory. Almost no one uses Personal Directory and the more useful Corporate Directory has to be reached via scrolling down or knowing it's there in advance and pressing the number 5. I would like to swap the positions of 4. Personal Directory and 5. Corporate Directory. What's the mojo??

You can't modify the XML file that tells the phones which options to display and the order, but you can Navigate to the Device menu >  Device Settings > Phone Services and find the Personal Directory page. Then uncheck the Enabled check box. Update the subscriptions and reset the phones. This will leave the PD out of the equation.

If you wish a different order, you would have to set up your own web server and tailor the files yourself, and how it would fetch the user list. It is possible, it just takes a lot of programming.
