i tried scanning a document and i am now getting this error

"Epson Scan cannot be started.  There may a problem with the network setting.  Please use the troubleshooting assistant to solve the problem.  Do you want to open the Troubleshooting Assistant?  Click No or Yes"

i've clicked no and then i went to "Epson Scan Settings.app" to see if there was anything wrong with any settings and i've got this error message

"You can't open the application "Epson Scan Settings.app" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported".

prior my break (1 month), i had been able to scan without any troubles and i'm not aware of anything else that had happened.

please bear in mind of my home setup, i have a wireless network and i have a wifi extender.  my printer runs on wifi connection and i have no troubles to scan using the Mavericks own scanning tools.  my iMac has connected on the wifi extender without troubles and when it connects wirelessly on the router, printing/scanning does not work.

can someone help me out?

You have an outdated version of Epson scan settings App.  Delete the Epson scanner software and download a fresh copy from here:
