Help With Hosted VOIP

I am switching from knology matrix to comcast voice edge, currently knology fiber comes into a managed switch port 1 is fiber in, port 2-6 is public wan, port 7 is Sonicwall Router (Data DHCP server), port 8 -48 are VOIP phone / data ports for internal. I am switching to comcast and need some help deciding how to replace the managed switch that belongs to knology, comcast wont deal with anything beyond there modems, so my question is do I need to purchase another managed poe switch or an unmanaged switch. Im not really sure if there modems push dhcp to the phones each office has 1 network drop that voip and data currently share. will the comcast modems be able to route traffic the same way. any answers would be helpful.
