iMac installation Windows without Bootcamp
Hi,
i have an iMac and i did internet recover after formatting my partition. I do not have any OS on it now and people from apple say can do noting about it. The mac asks to load 10.7 that is not available on app store any more. My problem and issue now is that i do care only to have this run windows so is there a way, utility, image or any other way that i can an do?
Again, i do not care to have their software there or if i have to is there a way to make it work without 10.7? If yes how can i can i get the image and load and boot it?

By the way also apple says this version 10.7 is not available any more on app store so i am not sure why this still shows there.

10.7 is not generally available, but if you read the link I posted you will see Apple will send you a special link to 10.7 if that is what your computer shipped with.

Try booting while holding down the option (alt) key to bring up the bootpicker. That should give you the choice to boot into Windows.

This i did but does not load me windows from external usb dvd rw. i will try with a bootable usb. Any software to make a bootable usb for windows? also how to move the drivers needed for mac to the bootable usb
You can copy the ISO to your OSX disk, then just run BootCamp Assistant to create it for you.

Nothing worked so i end up to apple service and modify the bootcamp to accept boot from usb. The models with superdrive they us that to do install it seems and as i was told. Since mine was broken only via usb i could do on new version of bootcamp.

End up at Apple service center and they edit the boot camp so it worked. Seems not an easy thing to do if you do not know
