1. Is anyone using http://aws.amazon.com/windows/sharepoint ?
2. If so, what good and bad comments do you have about it ?
3. Does it tie in with your local ACTIVE DIRECTORY for single sign on ?

Hi,
sorry, no I have not (yet) used it. From their documentation it is possible to interact with your Active Directory but it is at least recommended that you have at least one DC in Amazon AWS - connected via VPN.
I have not yet compared the prices but the same functionality (and licencing costs) can be achieved using Microsoft Azure VMs.
Just my 2ct
