I have an mvc project in Visual Studio 2012 and am getting the following error:
Could not load file or assembly 'EntityFramework, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

Below is what I have tried so far to cure the problem:
1. Cleaned & rebuilt whole solution.
2. Ebuy.Common\packages.config line 3
<package id="EntityFramework" version="6.1.2" targetFramework="net45" />
3. Ebuy.Common\App.config line 5
<section name="entityFramework" type="System.Data.Entity.Internal.ConfigFile.EntityFrameworkSection, EntityFramework, Version=6.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" requirePermission="false" />
4. Ebuy.WebSite\packages.config line 11
<package id="EntityFramework" version="6.1.2" targetFramework="net45" />
5. Ebuy.WebSite\web.config line 9
<section name="entityFramework" type="System.Data.Entity.Internal.ConfigFile.EntityFrameworkSection, EntityFramework, Version=6.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" requirePermission="false" />
6. Ebuy.WebSite\bin\EntityFramework version 6.1.31219.0

I have searched the entire project for 5.0.0.0, but it can not be found.
I am at a lose, what to try next.
Thanks in advance for any help given.

In your project's properties page, what value do you see in Build->Platform Target?

Thank you for your reply.
properties page => Build      => platform target
Ebuy.Common    => any cpu => target *.net 4.5
Ebuy.mvc            => any cpu => target *.net 4.5
Ebuy.WebSite     => any cpu => target *.net 4.5

There was another WebSite attached to the solution targetting *.net 4.0
I changed it to target *.net 4.5 in case it was affecting anything.
But, still get same error as before.
One thing I noticed in the details of the error was:
=== Pre-bind state information ===
LOG: DisplayName = EntityFramework, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089

I still do not know where or why the solution is finding version 5.0.0.0
Thanks for any help.

Are there any assembly bindings in your config file? The location would be:

<configuration>
    <runtime>
        <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1">
            <dependentAssembly>
                <assemblyIdentity name="Entity Frameork something..."
