Hi All,

I have created a VM in HYPER V and added programs, done windows updates, set security features etc.

How do i use/replicate this VM on the same HOST as a base image so i don't have to go through creating another image etc and have to reinstall SVR2008r2 each time.

I need to create 2 more OSs exactly the same build but with different names and IPs etc?

Cheers

Matt

You need to sysprep the image or you'll create problems for your network.  Then export the VM.  Import it and one of the options will allow you to create a new ID for it.

If you use SCVMM, you can create template VMs and the like more easily.

Thanks Lee,

Can this SCVMM be installed on a Server running Hyper-V? Or does it need its own OS?

Cheers

I'd suggest starting with tutorials on the product since you're not familiar with it.  Here's a good multi-part one:
