The Win7 machine is already being backed up by Onedrive daily (only specific folders).

Now, we would like to backup a folder in the XPMode inside the Win7Pro machine.

Can we do it seamlessly? How can you make Onedrive lookinto the XPMode machine?

thanks.

Windows 7 does not have automated backup for virtual machines.
You will need to do it manually by copying the .vhd = Virtual Machine virtual hard drive image and the .vmc = Virtual Machine settings file.
For guides on how to do this google: How to Copy a Virtual XP machine

You can save your data in a folder on the Windows 7 host system, and include that folder with your already being backed up specific folders by Onedrive daily.
See the guide by Greg Shultz titled "Get the most out of Windows XP Mode with these tips"
I shall give the link in another post.

that link is helpful, thanks MB.

one other question in relation: do you think using a scheduled task to move the folder from XPMode to Win7 every early morning is efficient?
