Internal anchor links best practices

it's ok for my site MagicKitchen.com to have interior anchor text links, right?

My dad is 93 and has congestive heart failure. it has been so wonderful to have great low sodium meals for him and my mom who is 94 can give him without worrying on what to prepare for him since he is on 1500 mg of sodium a day. Thank you so much for helping us and having these wonderful meals with all the info we need on them as well!

So great low sodium meals will link to our low sodium meals menu page. That sort of thing is ok, but what are best practices? What might not be ok with Google as far as internal links go?

Thanks, looking forward to your insights.

There is nothing wrong with linking to pages on your site.  If that were forbidden or frowned upon then sites, as a whole, would not exist.  They would just be distinct pages.

ok, thanks, so no rules at all. Got it.
Not with regards to internal links.  These links (believe it or not) actually help your sites visibility as they indicate change.  You just want to ensure that these links are not broken.  Just when you remove a page, remove the associated links.
