Need a script to gather total emails sent\received for several addresses

I have about 10-15 addresses I need to report on items sent and received, both internally and externally, for various date ranges. Just the item count. I have tried a few scripts but the results were sketchy.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That works nicely for a single mailbox but can I list multiple mailboxes in the $mailbox= section? I have about 12 addresses and don't want to have to run this 12 times.  No matter what format I use it doesn't like it.
