I am trying to popup a new window giving it a url and the url includes a key, value pair that will bring up data for that input.

My problem is what I am trying works in IE8, but not Chrome (Version 40.0.2214.93 m (64-bit))  Here are a couple of sniplets of code that I am trying.  In IE8 it works as expected, but in Chrome I get the popup, and the screen is blank.

popupWindow = window.open(url,'popUpWindow','height=300,width=700,left=50,top=50,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,toolbar=yes,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no, status=yes')

Simple form
var myWindow = window.open("http://someurl?ShpId=1437306081", "popUpWindow", "width=200, height=100");

This is an ongoing and long time problem with chrome.  This is the bug report and tracking of the issue:
