had a user who is using Vista with IE 9 and google chrome. On banking sites, when she tried to print to pdf, using google chrome the contents will show up properly but when on IE9, the contents showed up as 'garbage'..
looks like some compatibility issues with the site with IE9. is this something common and which can be resolved by changing settings in IE9?

What driver are you using to print to PDF.  Is it the Adobe driver or a Third party print to pdf?

Try accessing the site using Compatibility Mode in IE9 and see if that helps.

Also, I would highly recommend you upgrade the PC since using old versions of browsers and operating systems invites potential security problems that don't affect newer systems.

Goto printer properties of the Adobe PDF printer  and uncheck the box that says use system fonts only.  This should fix the formatting issues.  Pdf files will be larger but look correct.
