Sharepoint FIM Sync service not starting and User Profile Sync in Starting status.

SharePoint 2010 user profile sync in Starting status. Its neither getting started nor stopped. And also FIM sync service not starting giving service specific error. I shall connect to SQL server and no issues with that. Last activity done is changing the farmadmin account password changed through manage service account. Stopped the Forefront Identity manager service and started again and the try to start the FIM sync service ...no luck.And also Stopped user profile service and try to start it again but User profile Sync still stays on Starting status

Thinking of restarting the app server which is configured for User profile Sync so that services will start in order.
Any help is much appreciated...

Will try that ...restart did not help ...still the service in Starting Status

Solved.Used the Powershell Commands ...and stopped the Provisioning status service (Starting ) Status by using their identity

Get-SPServiceInstance
Stop-SPServiceInstance

Once you stop the service using their identity , FIM Sync Service automatically started and then started the User profile Sync and waited till User profile Sync started.
Now its started and running fine.
Thanks for helping it out.

Next time it happened then definitely will Recreate User Profile Service as you said.
