Hi,

Crawl is not working and I am getting one error on crawl:

Access is denied. Verify that either the Default Content Access Account has access to this repository, or add a crawl rule to crawl this repository. If the repository being crawled is a SharePoint repository, verify that the account you are using has "Full Read" permissions on the SharePoint Web Application being crawled.

Let me know if anyone has seen this

Thanks

You should be using a service account for the crawler to run under, and that account should have access to everything. It doesn't, it's getting an access denied.

Set up a policy in Central Admin to give it access to everything;

If the account is currently the wrong one check this out;

I thought I'd write this up for anyone who has a request to create an anonymous whistle-blower-type submission form created using SharePoint 2010 (this would probably work the same for 2013). It's not 100% fool-proof but it's as close as you can get…
