Hi Experts,

I am working with the attached CSS and HTML file and the thead within the table does not display the bottom border that I have on lines 154-156 of the CSS.

Any ideas?

Try using 'th' instead of 'thead'.  'th' is an actual cell in the table while 'thead' is just a grouping and not a visible element.

'tr' won't display a border either because it is also a 'grouping' element, not a visible element.

In that case I get gaps between my columns

Yep.  Then you want to use 'border-collapse'.  http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_border-collapse.asp  Note also that HTML5 obsoleted quite a few things in 'thead' attributes.
