a single and new users in sbs2008 can send internal email but not external

its bizarre, first a single user using owa can send internally but external email addresses, email appears in sent items and i can see has been submitted to the sbs2008 exchange 2007 server but no ndr and does not get delivered.

i notice the same thing happens when i create new users in the sbs 2008 server

What do you see in the Queue Viewer located in the Exchange Management Console > Toolbox?

thank you for your reply, i was nearly going to give up for the night, just discovered one of our techs has setup a transport rule restricting senders and dropping email silently.

Ouch. Make sure you give the tech an earful then! Glad your issue got sorted, I know how stressful it can be when it's late and everyone else is asleep but yourself.
