Responsive site not rendering using inbuilt Django server

I have a problem with a template. I have copy/pasted a responsive bootstrap web page into the template I am using in Django and then added in my python code to display dynamic content.

When I then try to view the page, there is no formatting. However when I view source and copy paste that into another file and call that from my local apache server, the page loads as expected.

I have put the CSS and JS folders in the folder where the template is stored and am all out of ideas!

please can someone help

Most template do a lot of scripting that generally overrides all or part of the CSS that is not part of the template.  Unless the pieces are compatible there will be conflicts ranging from minor rendering errors to a complete loss of styling.

A second possibility is that the server cannot resolve the path specified for the Bootstrap files.

Trying to cobble things together where there is not absolute claim of compatibility will frequently cause problems if you are not writing your own code.

I think it might be the latter - am going to have a go at sorting it out in the morning - thanks for your help
