I just took a wyse terminal right out of the box.  all I get is a system information window. and then a little desktop icon on the lower left.

The administrator and application sections are grayed out.  I need to login so I can setup the system but don't know how. Please help.  I need to figure out how to do terminal connections and sco ansi.  Thanks!

I have tried shift escape while booting up and it simply goes back to the screen. tried several times. Even tried hard resetting it and hitting shift escape.  Thanks!

I know that we had trouble with the timing on Wyse devices. We have since moved to HP's.  The only WYSE I have handy to test with is a VX0 with XP Embedded.  That is different than one with the WYSE OS on the D.  Let me look around to see if I still have  one of those.

Okay, I couldn't find the same model but try this (if you have windows embedded):

1. Boot
2. Select Start
3. Select Log Off
4. Hold down Shift key
5. Select OK

It should come up to a Username/Password screen. Since it is new it probably is the default Administrator/Administrator combination.
