Exchange/Outlook 2013 Can we set a shared mailbox to auto send read receipts even if one was not asked for?

We have a shared mailbox and the manager wants it to send out read receipts (or some kind of notification) to anyone who sends an email. I can't find a rule that sends anything when the email is read, and the auto reply sends when the message is delivered so that's not what the manager wants either. Does anyone know an exchange settings that can auto send something when an email is read?

Nothing in Exchange or Outlook that can do something like that when the message is read. There are certain actions that Outlook can do when a message is read, but it would require the shared mailbox to be open as an additional ACCOUNT rather than mailbox to action, as it will be a client side rule.

Simon.

I was afraid of that, thanks for confirming my suspicions. Have a great day.
