How to resolve folder redirection sync errors between SBS2008 and Windows 8.1?

I have upgraded an existing SBS2008 domain user from a Windows 7 Pro system to a Windows 8.1 Pro system and now Folder Redirection syncing is generating errors on the new Windows 8.1 system. Syncing has been working fine between the Windows 7 system and SBS2008.

Any ideas on resolving these would be appreciated.

Did you install the latest GPO (admx) templates for Win8?

I'm in the process of trying to install the Windows 8.1 ADMX files but SBS2008 security is blocking any access to the Windows\Policy Definitions folder where the files are to be placed. I do have admin permissions. Any ideas?

Where are you doing this on your PC or on the server. You can download the admin tools from here to do it from the PC http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7887 and http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28972
