Hi, Nobus

Your friend will need to create his project in Windows Movie Maker, and when he is done he needs to select the Save Movie submenu from the file menu and then select Burn a DVD.

Once he has done this movie maker will ask for a location to save the file in Windows Media Video format and then once it has been saved, the Windows DVD maker window will pop up.  And he will be able to burn the movie file he just saved using that.  He will even be able to add more video files to the list before burning.

The format it burns in is compatible with all DVD Players.

If your friend is missing any of the applications required to follow the steps I strongly recommend he installs Windows Live Essentials from:

As far as I know you are normally using CDBurnerXP when you are burning CD's or DVD's. You just need to select "Video-DVD" when you start the tool, and then add your file(s). That should create a CD or DVD that is usable by most stand-alone Video DVD players.

using MM - the dvd is burned in MPEG4 - but the dvd recorder can't read that format
is there a way to burn in other (compatible) format?
