HI,

I have configured crm 2013 to work internally only.

I have the url https://servernamecrm.local:444 currently setup in IIS with a wildcard certificate assigned. I have removed the HTTP binding.

currently we are happy to use vpn and access the internal link to access the crm but would i have any issues during the long run...?

I would like to install the crm plug in for outlook 2013, will this still work when accessing outlook at home or on the move or would i have to connect to VPN each time for it all to work?

do i have anything else left to configure?

I have configured the user and their security roles.

I would like to change the internal url but i'm guessing this is unlikely...

Thanks

In the short term, accessing the CRM server over a VPN from will work. The CRM add-in for Outlook will only work when out of the office if connected to the network via a VPN.

[However, the CRM add-in for Outlook does have capability for off-line working with a partial copy of the CRM database if disconnected from the network in a local SQL Server Express database].

For the longer term, you should configure a binding that will work over the internet such as internalcrm.yourdomain.com
