Dell laptop INP files

Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron 3737.  On an external drive, I have files with an INP extension.  After doing as much research I can possibly handle, it appears these are backup files Dell Backup and Recovery created, however, I am unable to access them via DBR.  Per http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN129227/EN, I downloaded   the Dell Migration Restore Utility, but it does not see the external drive where the files are located.  i copied the files over to the local drive, but MRU is looking for an external drive only.

Any advise in getting access to these files is greatly appreciated.

Do you need to restore the files?  If not, ignore this!
This thread suggests you create a new profile in BDR and backup one file.  Then, in explorer, copy the files you want into the folder it created.  Afterwards DBR will recognize the files you copied:
