We have purchased a Lenovo Thinkserver RD340 server with Windows Server 2012 Standard. We need to downgrade to Windows Server 2008 R2, but cannot seem to find a driver that works with the onboard RAID 300 for Windows Server 2008. Does anyone have any ideas here?

From some quick research, it would seem the easiest way to implement 2008 would be to download the EasyStartup ISO from the following page:

http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds038464

It states that it supports 2008 - 2012 R2.  If that is not working since you just purchased it I would Highly recommend contacting Lenovo support and inquiring as to why it is not working.  There may be a specific setting you have to change to work with 2008, although I would be surprised if that was the case.

Downloading and booting to the ISO should get you to where you need to be.
