ITIL Strategy Exam
Hi
I'm charting my course to take a few ITIL exams. The ITIL-Foundation I'm doing in a another few weeks. I'd like to take the Service Strategy Exam.
Do I have to have accredited training as a prerequisite? Or can I study on my own for the exam? I thought all I had to have is the ITIL-F certification.

If I may...ask you one another thing
Is there any difference between
EX0-001 ITIL Foundation (syllabus 2011) Exam
EX0-101 ITIL Foundation v.3 & ITIL Foundation
EX0-117 ITIL Foundation (syllabus 2011)
A friend sent me some sample questions to help me, but they all have different "EX0" numbers

The EX0 means they are the versions of the exam offered by Exin, through Prometric testing centers. I believe all three are different versions of the same test. When I took the exam about two years ago, the version was EX0-117. EX0-001 is the currently offered version. Unfortunately I don't know if EX0-101 was older or newer than EX0-117. (But again, EX0-001 is the one currently offered from Prometric.)

What does the "v.3" mean?

Practice Exams for ITIL V3 Foundation, (EXIN) EXO-117
when I see this offered by a vendor, and it says (EXIN) EXO-117 I'm not sure if I should purchase it or not.

Any certification beyond the Foundation level has a requirement that you take their training. There are a number of training organizations, and more than one source for exams. (Link above is to Axelos, the current owner of ITIL.) When I was looking at certification/training beyond the foundation level, they all consistently indicated that training was a requirement above the foundation level. The organization has changed since then, so I can't find the source documentation I confirmed with back then... but it appears with some certainty that the policy hasn't changed. All my old links to www.itil.co.uk redirect to Axelos now.)
