Outlook proxy server error out of the blue

I had to move the Exchange database log file path today which caused an issue with the database not mounting. I was able to get it to mount after moving the log files and checkpoint file to a temp location. Now when users try to connect via Outlook 2010 or 2013 they are getting the following:

There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate.
The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target site ex2.domainname.local.

Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server. (Error Code 10)

The name of the server is the correct internal hostname of the exchange server. It has been a split DNS so that there is a domail.com with a mail record in it and that had been working fine. The only change was the redirection of the log path and the issue with the database not mounting that had to be fixed. Anyone have any ideas where to go from here?

Something else was changed.
Do you have more than one Exchange server? Otherwise you need to check all of your URLs, including Outlook Anywhere, internal and External URLs to see whether one is configured incorrectly.

I made the internal and external the same and it is now functioning properly.
