Email Alias in Exchange Not working

We have a alias email address in our Exchange 2007 environment.  
We have our primary smtp email address:  George@xyz.com.
Then we have a alias email address:  George@pqz.com

We cannot receive external email address to the alias:  George@pqz.com.  
Internally the alias works.

We have a accepted domain set to false for @pqz.com
our smtp connector is set to our smart host relay.

can anyone help me out as to why email send from a external user does not go to our alias email address .

Is your MX record pointing to your Exchange server (or if you have a anti-spam/anti-virus appliance/server)?  Your MX record for your pqz.com should point to same IPs as for xyz.com

So your saying our  external DNS, should have a MX record for pqz.com point to xyz.com?

No, what I am saying is that your external DNS should have MX records for pqz.com pointing to same IPs as the MX records for xyz.com is pointing to.  Then on your Exchange server, you should be accepting messages for pqz.com domain.
