My sharepoint server 2013 works fine as far as delivering content to users.
navigating the OS is painfully slow.  the cpu is basically pegged at 100 percent all the time
with one process continually taking 98 percent  of the cpu capacity
the process is listed as devenv.exe *32
Can someone tell me what this process is and how to get it to a more manageable level.

That is the visual studio IDE.
Is there a reason it is running on the server? Wouldn't expect it to use all that cpu. I'd kill the process in task manager if it's not in use
