Hi Guys,
I upgraded my mac with a SSD disc.

Before that i made a backup with time machine to a seagate expansion drive (4TB). On the seagate drive there is an archive.afs file (3.76TB) which includes all my backups.

Anyway i can't access the AFS container / file anymore and can't connect thru time-machine.

Appreceate your help!

What is an .afs file? I am not familiar with that. What did you use to create it?

Do you mean you can't access any of the contents of the archive.afs file with any application, or just not with Time Machine?
