Looking for a way to add to an array

I've been working on trying to piece together an attendance sheet in excel and I'm stumped on this one.  I need to be able to have when the "Break Out" button is clicked for it to match the date and put "Break Out 1" and then if the command button is hit again to put "Break Out 2" and then shut the "Break Out" command button off. So looking for help on how I can add it to my excel.  I'm attaching a copy of the file for reference and would appreciate any help on this.  Thank you.

Thank you for the help on this, one issue:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()

If (Range("W4").Value > "0" And Range("W4").Value > "") And Range("A11").Value = "" Then Sheets("Attendance").Range("W4").Value = "0"
End If

Cell "A11" will only be empty on one day, after that it will be filled. Is there a way around this so that it resets "W4" each new day it is opened?
