Trouble verifying site with Google

Hi

I have tried for weeks to verify my site to Google, using their verification techniques. The site is registered with GoDaddy, and I use Namecheap services. I've entered the meta tag info, put the file in file manager for Namecheap, all kinds of ways, and still get "can't verify"....

Any suggestions?

Godaddy offers 2 services (of interest here) Domain Registration with dns hosting and Web Hosting
Namecheap is a domain registrar and a dns hosting company
Please be explicit in what you have and what you want.

if godaddy is your registrar and you want to use namecheap dns then in the control panel on godaddy under settings nameservers you have to put in the namecheap name servers I use cloudflare but the principles are the same

Hi David, thanks, I should've been specific.

GoDaddy is the registrar. I use NameCheap hosting services. I put Namecheap dns server names for nameservers in the GoDaddy name server settings.

so at namecheap in the dns settings set the text record
i.e. TXT techsupport4me.ca "google-site-verification=XUW3auXVdkt0QJskLwm-6-PXxEvI1NsbL-------"
