We have a customer site who went down. How can we extract data from the archives without reinstalling backup exec. Is there some sort of plugin we can use.

We use Back Up Exec on our client servers and we need to use Back Up Exec to restore data files. I think you need to install Back Up Exec.

Your are correct. I confirmed with Symantec that the only way to get data is we were forced to re install the software.
