What are the industry standards for local file backups on a windows server?

I am currently running various servers that all require backing up to a different drive currently on site ready to be pulled by FTP to an off site server.

We are currently using Cobian Backup for this file backup process but we are looking for a more professional industry standard solution to streamline the process where possible.

Anything that allows for great encryption and compression without taking a large amount of time would be ideal, any other neat features would be ideal.

Thanks for any help and advice on this situation.
