Enable ICMP Echo and ICMP Echo reply

Hello Expert,
I have to allow the ICMP echo and ICMP echo reply request on all the domain joined desktops in our network, please guide me  how create an appropriate GPO for this scenario, all of my Desktops are placed inside the OU called "NYKComputers" .

I am using windows 2008 Domain controller and all desktops are window 7

computer configuration --> Windows Settings --> System and security --> Windows Firewall --> Advanced settings --> Inbound rules --> New rule --> custom rule
in Protocol and ports: Protocol: ICMPv4,  customize, choose "Specific ICMP types", check the box "echo request"
 next... next... give it a name i.e. "Ping Echo Request" and a description i.e. "respond to ping requests" and save it

Hello David,
I am going to create this GPO in window 2008 domain controller, can you please advice me is the below steps correct:-
What i am going to do is right click on the specific OU , Create a GPO in this domain and link it here > Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows settings > Security Settings >Windows Firewall with Advance security > Inbound Rules , Under Inbound Rules create New Rule > Custom rule > All programs
is this steps correct ?
