Are previous versions of tasks available via the Outlook Web App?

I'm using Office 2010 on my PC but I also have an Office 365 subscription so I occasionally use the Outlook Web App. Is it possible to restore previous versions of a task? The task isn't deleted. It's still there. But some of the information in the task has been deleted and I'd like to retrieve it.

Thanks in advance.

hey there,

In order to restore your tasks it is very essential to know that the restoration process is only possible only If you have your profile configured via IMAP, if it is a POP3 configured profile then it is not possible to restore your tasks or for that matters any data.

Solution (In case of a IMAP account):

NOTE: Items can only be recovered within 14 days of permanent deletion from the "Deleted Items" folder. After this time elapses, items cannot be restored. Also, if items are purged from the "Deleted Items" folder, they can no longer be recovered.

In order to recover you tasks please follow these simple steps:

1. Log into Outlook Web App (OWA).

2. Right-click Deleted Items folder within folder list (not under Favorites).

3. Click Recover deleted items.

4. Right-click the item you want and then click Recover. The item will be moved to its default location. Messages will go to your Inbox, calendar items will go to your Calendar, contacts to your Contacts folder, and tasks to your Tasks folder.(not under Favorites).

I hope this may resolve your problem. Feel free to to communicate back in case any further query.

thanks and regards
