search is not working on OWA  + Exchange 2010

Hello the experts
I have an issue that is pending now for weeks I we had a space issue on our exchange server . AN issue that was resolved now the search functionnality is not working for OWA users

I tried many things that i saw on the internet . like restarting the service
Empty the folder  that contains the index etc...


On the exchange Server i have error id 9877 for all  the database

First approach for this would be to rebuild the search indexes for each of the mailboxes.

Reset Search Indexes

If that does not work what Exchange 2010 SPversion are you running? Also what RU (roll up) are you running?

This appears to be been corrected in SP1 RU6.

hello Will What could be the Impact of rebuilding the Index on a production server?

I dont want to break anything . are those operations safe?

They are in fact safe. I personally would do this for each individual mailbox database. I dont like running the /all command. I would only run it on the databases that require it.

Another thing to mention is that when you run this it does tax the Exchange server as well. So doing something like this off hours would be preferred.

I will try what you send but on the Technet site , I see  two procedures which one is the Best.
