Drive driver

Ive been playing around with an idea of making my own storage center, however I need to want to make some files available offline and online, so I want to give direct access to the file as in a drive letter and then serve the data on click.

To do this I will need to make my own drive obviously, so will need to write my own driver for it and then mount it.

Does anyone have any pointers in making my own drive driver to be able to control access myself?

Thank you

I would look for a simpler solution.

You can create an entry for an ftp site the same way that you can create an entry for a network path in Windows Explorer. Simply right click on the root entry of the Explorer (This PC) and selecting add a network location, you can set a network entry for the and FTP site. It takes less than a minute to set up, and you can then use that almost as if it was a directory, given that the proper security settings have been set on the site.

What I actually ended up doing is building an ftp server and mounting to it
