sharepoint datasheet view greyed out

sharepoint datasheet view is greyed out despite the fact that I have 'Full Control' permissions, although I note that in Permissions it says 'Full Control, Design, Contribute, Limited Access'

Any ideas how I can resolve this please.

A 32 bit Office component is needed on your PC. It's a DLL, and can be downloaded via this page;

Sometimes this is caused by a mismatch between Office version and browser, one being 64 bit the other not;
