I am working with a small business that has a need for some email client functions that are normally only available for larger businesses.

Specifically, the assistant would like to have a common contacts list and would like to be able to review and clean out the owners email box in the morning.

Right now they are getting email through a simple Outlook 2013 setup via an AT&T corporate domain setup for the company (Owner@clientBusiness.com). The contact list is part of the owners .PST file on his computer and each of the two users has their own email delivered to their desktop via POP3.

I know there are cloud options, but I am only used to seeing those for larger businesses.

Not sure what options are available for smaller businesses like this.

Why do you think a cloud solution wouldn't work?
I would actually twist your thinking on its head - the cloud allows small businesses to get the same functionality as large businesses do. The only difference is that large businesses do not NEED the cloud to achieve the same, because it is available in their on premise software.

Office365 would be the ideal solution for this.
You would need to have multiple mailboxes. I would also look at using the CRM solution for contact management. While you can do it through Outlook it is clunky.

Simon.
