I think this maybe something related to my other question on why I can not upload to vcenter directly and can to the host

this is the error I get when I attempt to console into a new 2012 image I am building

I get NO ERROR if I view the console thru the host !!!

thanks !!!!!!!!

it is....

check your DNS settings for the host, and also IP Address.

e.g. can you ping the server by hostname, fqdn etc ?

can you traceroute to hosdtname and fqdn ?

same but using the IP Address

Disable local firewall.

used the  DNS server for my workstation that the Vcenter server is using for primary DNS  . I moved it to the top of the DNS stack in the network setting  and flushed the cache and now works fine

if you still have trouble move the DNS IPuse common DNS for workstaion and vcenter that the vcenter and the workstation are looking at to the TOP OF THE STACK
