my internal domain name is the same as my external domain

You can add a www record to your internal domain DNS zone and point it to the external site IP address.  Your users will have to use "www.domain.com" to get to the website, not just "domain.com." That's about the only thing you can do to allow internal users to get to an external website when you have the same internal and external domain name.
