I have WSUS running on 2012R2 and installed some updates that broke cnnecting to WSUS through the console (on ther server itself)  seeing events 7032, 7053 etc. I narrowed it down to KB2919355, uninstalled this and it works again.

There is actually some sites about this behaviour:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/wsus/archive/2014/04/08/windows-8-1-update-prevents-interaction-with-wsus-3-2-over-ssl.aspx

This was April 2014 and a fix was due out 'soon'. I cant see the fix?
A work around has been suggested to 'Disable HTTPS on WSUS'

how do I do that please?
Thanks

What I have been doing is running Windows Updates directly from Microsoft to get past the issue, and then going back to WSUS. There is an update somewhere, I don't know which one it is. I have a GPO for setting the WSUS server, so I just disabled that for a brief period of time to get all of my machines up to date with Microsoft, and then I enabled it again.

Thanks but I was hoping that as this is a known issue in April there is a fix or updated patch by now? are MS really still recommending the workaround?
