using wordpress for administrate school programs, students and teachers lists

We are searching for a wordpress theme and or plugin that could allow us to administrate school programs, students, teachers, homework and tests, we would like to know one of the most robust about that.

Thanks in advance.

Can you give us a little more information on what "administrate school programs, students, teachers, homework and tests" actually means?  There are lots of plugins to provide group functions (BuddyPress being the big one) and you could organize the site around classrooms as groups but the rest of it requires some clarification.

Hi Jason,

The main idea is to have a website capable of store students and teachers as catalogs in wordpress, teachers will post two things, a) the list of course topics and b) the homework per each day. Students will be responsible for reading the homework and post the results of it, then the teacher will qualify it.

I must say that the teacher could "see" all the students posts but each student will only see their own interaction with the teacher.

The idea is to implement something similar to edublogs.org

Thanks in advance.

Got it.  There's no one magic bullet for building something like EduBlogs.  It's a combination of WordPress MultiSite and a whole boatload of custom coding.  Fortunately (or unfortunately) for you, the same people who build EduBlogs also sell their code as WPMUDev:

http://premium.wpmudev.org/build-your-own-edublogs-org/

So you could just subscribe to to them and use their premium plugins to replicate the necessary functionality.  The other way to do it is to look into CampusPress:

http://www.campuspress.com/

By the same folks.
