i am unable to RDP into my Lenovo W530, the event log error shows
The Desktop Window Manager has encountered a fatal error (0x8898008d)

any help is appreciated

Make sure that you have the latest Windows updates installed, this is generally caused by a bad patch or driver. Make sure you update your graphics driver as well.

If your machine is fully up to date and the error still exists, it may be a bad patch that needs to be removed. As an example, Platform Update for Windows 7 x64-Edition (KB2670838) is a known cause of this issue.
