Hi Experts,

Have an issue when using Microsoft load balancing, any idea what I can do? I am getting the following error:
Microsoft NLB The RPC server is unavailable on the specified computer. Error connecting to <server>

I have done the following:
Disabled UAC

I disabled loop back check in the registry on both the nodes... by creating a new DWORD (32bit) key...
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\DisableLoopbackCheck - with a value of 1

Rebooted both servers but still no joy. I am using multicast instead of unicast.

Any help will be appreciated on this issue.

Regards,

introlux

Note: running OS: Windows Server 2008 R2

Do the servers have only 1 network adapter?
This behaviour occurs because cluster hosts contain only one network adapter, and cluster hosts function in unicast mode. This functionality is a limitation of the single-network-adapter unicast NLB configuration
